Mancos is a small western ranching town that was established in the late 1880’s. The town still carries that feel in the downtown area. The downtown area has several nice shops to visit and a few nice galleries to enjoy. There are several establishments to feed your inner needs. From a very nice family owned Restaurants to a family owned famous Navajo Taco stand. The Mancos Valley boasts of many year round activities and events. The events range from a major Hometown celebration (Mancos Days), to an annual Ren-Fair, or a Hot air Ballon festival, or sled dog races. There is plenty to do just checkout some of these local events on the events page.
